Welcome to the Amador County Fair Blog!

We're looking forward to meeting new fair goers this year and welcoming back the regulars, also known as our very supportive community in Plymouth, CA. Leading up to fair time, we may release information earlier on our Blog than what the public sees so stay posted! We'd love to hear your feedback before, during and after fair so let us know what you think about anything and everything that has to do with the Amador County Fair.

I haven't attended the Amador County Fair before, but I hear it's great fun and such a fun, historical place to take your kids! I love attending fairs whenever I can, hope to attend yours some day soon!

Get out your Cajun Cook Book because we are going to have some Good Time, Mardi Gras Fun at the Amador County Fair!

Our special contests this year feature “Pecan Pie”, traditional recipes only; “Your Pecan Pie” – Creative recipes only, “Red Velvet Cake” – from scratch recipes only; “Red Velvet Cake” – Box Cake Creative Recipes; “Snickerdoodles”; “Jambalaya”; and “Gumbo” for men only.

We are putting the finishing touches on the guidebook and hope to have it posted to our web site by May 16, sooner!

We’re very excited that this year for the first time we will be accepting your entries online. Watch this blog for more information.

For those looking for the Horse Show photos, they can be found on www.ShootMyPix.com
(Fair Admin said they'd put a link on the home page, but I couldn't find it... and I know a lot of folks are looking for their photos)

I think the Amador County Fair is one of the prettiest (and best) little fairs in the USA.

Amador 2009 Fair season planning is here. What a "grape" time we had at last year's fair. The smoothest ever! Well run, put together well, lots of participation! Too much fun..
Look forward to this years fun! Thank you to Troy and all the time and planning he has invested in our fair. The WEBSITE is awesome! Now if we can only "change up" the vendor areas... Ah just for fun reassign and relocate all of them. Wouldn't that keep the public looking??
Don't forget to attend your Club and County meetings ... BE PLUGGED IN, BE INFORMED!!
